COSMETICS SEIZED: Jan Marini Skin Research Age Intervention Eyelash can cause eye damage. U.S. Marshals seized nearly 13,000 tubes of the product, considered by the FDA to be unapproved and misbranded. The product contains the drug bimatoprost, used to treat eye pressure and if someone is already on that drug and using Age Intervention Eyelash as well, the extra dosage can be harmful. The product may also cause swelling of the retina and loss of vision.
According to the FDA, you should discontinue use immediately and discard any remaining product.

An alternative to Jan Marino’s discontinued eyelash product is Keracyte (www.keracyte.com). My friend spent a few years teaching English in Taiwan and I heard that is what a lot of the women there use for lengthening and thickening their eyelashes. This product is less expensive and you get more of it than Jan Marino's, plus it’s very safe. The ingredients are similar and even milder than an eye serum product the company makes for wrinkle reduction.
