Check Your EMF's!
EMF's (electromagnetic fields) are everywhere and in addition to skin irritation and skin numbness, they can cause headaches, nausea, hallucinations, paranoia and dizziness.
Items we come into regular contact with, like household appliances, cellphones, electrical outlets, waterbeds, electric blankets, electric alarm clocks, fluorescent lights, wiring inside walls, computers and overhead power lines can be measured with a Gauss meter. The one pictured here has an alarm built in to let you know when you are entering an area with high EMF levels. That way you don't have to stare at the meter all the time to see what the levels are.

Eyeliner in a Pinch
Have you ever been putting on your makeup and come to find that you've run out of eyeliner or misplaced it? In a pinch, try using wet eyeshadow as a liner. Drugstores carry the cotton-tipped swabs where one end is pointed. You can moisten that tip, and use it to apply a dark shade of eyeshadow.
It usually stays on pretty well.

PedEgg a Good Egg in terms of Sales
The PedEgg skincare product, which is for removing dead skin from the feet, is seeing strong sales numbers. This is really not surprising since during bad economic times, personal care products remain high on people's shopping lists. It's said that during the Great Depression, only three industries flourished. Skincare was one of them.

Colon Cleanse for Skincare and Health
PLEASE look after the health of your colon! Not only can it be beneficial as far as skincare goes, it may also save your life. I lost a loved one recently and the doctors believe the cancer began in the colon and spread from there.

Still Blue After All These Years
Paul Karason was on the TODAY show this morning to show the world that his skin is still blue. He's got a case of argyria, which came from the over-use of colloidal silver he used to treat dermatitis.
His skin remains a strange shade of bluish-gray. He still takes the silver, just not as often as he used to.

Youth Knows
I have satellite TV at home so during a hotel stay over the weekend I was able to view the HBO documentary Youth Knows No Pain.
It's a story of anti-aging from the point of view of the daughter of a plastic surgeon.
Interesting stuff. Watched in disbelief as Mr. Obagi told how he combats his singing 15-year old daughter's forehead frown lines with Botox. I also never realized how bloody hair transplant surgeries are.
This one is worth a watch.

Eye Want Lashes
...but I'm gonna stick to lengthening mascara. The side effects from the product that Brook Shields is hawking are many.
If you'd love long lashes, but you don't have many to begin with, there are some discussions going on about that topic.

Prayer Request
If you could take a moment and say a little prayer for Elke, I'd appreciate it. She's battling cancer right now. I'm praying that the cancer completely leaves her body and that her strength returns. Thanks!

Collagen Marshmallows
A U.K. firm called Eat Yourself Beautiful has developed collagen marshmallows, which they claim may help smooth unwanted wrinkles and lines, reduce the appearance of cellulite, create firmer and evenly toned skin and younger looking fuller cheeks and plumper lips.
You don't rub them on your skin, though. They are meant to be eaten.
According to the manufacturer, eating the marshmallows may also aid in increased elasticity and moisture retention of skin as well as a host of other benefits.
Manufactured in Japan, these grapefruit-flavored marshmallows contain Glucose Syrup, Sugar, Gelatin (sorry, vegetarians!) Corn Starch, Collagen Peptide, Soy Protein, and Artificial Flavor.

Try the Eyewear
Something to ponder next time you're trying on eyeglasses and sunglasses at the store. Who has tried them on before you tried them on?
It's more noticeable when trying on clothes, the telltale makeup smears on the necklines of shirts and such. Ick! Trying on eyewear is a bit different but it doesn't hurt to be conscious of skincare the next time you put a pair on your face and check yourself out in the mirror to see if you'd like to buy them.
Just a thought.

Cooking Oil is NOT for your Face
They're called medical professionals for a reason, folks. Do not attempt self-surgery. Just take a look at what happened to this Korean woman.
